How preparation is organised here

Four ways into the same syllabus

Most sites give you a pile of questions and leave the plan to you. This one is arranged the way preparation actually works — concepts, then subjects, then your state, then the whole paper.

The half nobody practises

Knowing the answer is not the same as having the time

Most candidates who miss the cut-off knew more than enough — they simply ran out of clock. Every test here can be sat under the same conditions as the real computer-based paper, and the review afterwards tells you exactly where your minutes went.

  • A real clock, not a stopwatch

Sessions run to the same per-question pace as a railway or SSC computer-based test, and submit themselves when time is up — exactly as the real console does.

  • A question palette

Jump, skip and mark for review the way the exam-hall software works, so the interface is never the thing that costs you marks on the day.

  • Time spent, question by question

After you submit, the review shows where the minutes went. The question that quietly ate four of them is usually the one worth changing your approach to.

Exam-wise

Prepare for the paper you are actually sitting

Each entry is a conducting body or examination the bank genuinely draws on, with questions tagged by the paper and the year they were asked in.

All exams

Subject-wise

Build each subject from its foundations

Every question is filed under one of a fixed set of subjects, so a topic never splits across three near-duplicate labels and your accuracy per subject means something.

All subjects

State-wise

Your state, on its own pages

State GK is exclusive: those questions appear on that state's pages and nowhere else, so the national sets never drill you on a district you will not be asked about.

All states

Why this one

Built like a study plan, not a question dump

Every question has a source

Each one records the paper and the year it was asked in. Nothing is invented, and an editor checks it before it is published.

Truly bilingual

English and हिन्दी are the same question behind a toggle, not two separate banks — so switching language never resets what you have already done.

Explanations, not just keys

Where the source paper gave the working, you get the working. Knowing which option was right teaches you nothing on its own.

Progress you can act on

Accuracy per subject, a weakest-subject ranking and a revision schedule that brings the ones you got wrong back around again.

Exam-hall conditions

Palette, mark for review, auto-submit on the clock. The interface should never be the thing that surprises you on the day.

Free where it matters

The free sets need no account at all. An account adds the tracking, not the content you were about to pay for elsewhere.

Getting started

Three steps, and the first one costs nothing

  1. 1

    Pick what to work on

A subject, your state, or a whole exam pattern. Free sets open straight away — no account, no email, no card.

  2. 2

    Sit it properly

Choose a length and a clock, then take it like the real paper: palette, mark for review, and answers revealed only after you submit.

  3. 3

    Fix what the review shows

Accuracy per subject, time per question and a revision schedule that brings the ones you got wrong back around again.

Frequently asked questions

What does GyanPrep actually cover?
The syllabus for Indian government recruitment exams, three ways at once: by subject (History, Polity, Geography, Economy, General Science, Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, English and General Hindi), by state (each state and union territory’s own history, geography, polity, schemes and current affairs), and by exam (railway, staff selection, teaching, police and state PCS papers). The same question bank sits behind all three, so work you do in one view counts everywhere.
Is it really free?
Yes. Every set under Free practice is open to everyone with no account at all. A free account adds saved progress, bookmarks, spaced revision and the full timed-test experience. There is nothing to pay and no card is ever asked for.
Can I practise in Hindi?
Yes. Where a question exists in both languages it is stored once with an English/हिन्दी toggle, so switching language does not reset your progress or serve you the same question twice. Hindi-medium papers are shown exactly as they were printed.
How does GyanPrep help with time management?
Every test can be taken on a clock set to the same pace as the real computer-based exam, with the same question palette and mark-for-review behaviour. After you submit, the review breaks down how long each question took, so you can see where the time actually goes rather than guessing.
Why is state GK kept separate from the national bank?
Because mixing them wastes your time in both directions. A railway candidate has no reason to be asked which river runs through a particular district, and a state-police candidate is asked about little else. State questions appear only on that state’s pages and never leak into the national sets.
How do you make sure the questions are right?
Questions are extracted from source papers automatically and then checked by an editor before publication, and each one keeps a reference to the exam and year it came from. Mistakes are still possible, so every question carries a report button and reports go straight to an editorial review queue.
